The HKIE Environmental Division is organizing an Annual Forum “Driving New Metropolis in GBA Towards Climate Resilience and Sustainability” and HKIOA is one of the supporting organizations.

The aim of the Annual Forum 2024 is to discuss and share knowledge, insight, expertise and experiences on essential elements and considerations for developing new metropolis in GBA to achieve climate resilience and sustainability. It will focus on engineering challenges and innovation opportunities in four sessions: I) Smart Town Planning in New Developing Areas - in Terms of Sustainability and Environmental Excellence; II) Climate Resilience Approach for Development of New Metropolis in GBA; III) ESG Driven New Technologies and Innovations for Environmental Excellence and Climate Resilience and IV) Scaling Up Green Financing to Accelerate Carbon Neutrality.
