“Climate Action: How can Young Environmental Professionals in Greater Bay Area
Take the Wheel to Drive Carbon Neutrality”
The Youth Summit is a free event but registration is needed
BACKGROUND
Greenhouse gas emissions are expected to return to a high level once the global economy begins to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, and possibly setting back progress towards attaining Sustainable Development Goal 13 to take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts. This Summit aims to discuss and demonstrate how young environmental professionals across different sectors can take an active role in achieving carbon neutrality in the GBA. It will engage youth through breakout discussions to explore their current and/or potential contributions to climate action in the GBA and their shared vision for the future, as shown in the following programme.

We are very honoured to have Mr. Wong Kam Sing (GBS, JP, Secretary for the Environment) and Prof. Hao Ji Ming (Professor of Tsinghua University) as our honorary speakers at our Opening Ceremony. Also, Dr. Chui Ho Kwong, Samuel (JP, Deputy Director of Environmental Protection (1), Environmental Protection Department) will be our honorary speaker at the Dialogue with Youth Session of the Summit.
