In response to a strong forward outlook in our Asia Pacific market, we are recruiting an experienced acoustician who can help to grow and shape our Acoustics, Noise and Vibration business, which worldwide is celebrating more than 50 years in consultancy.
The Role
Due to growing workload, we are looking for a highly-motivated individual who holds a Bachelor's degree in a field of science or engineering, with solid experience in the Acoustics industry. You will be part of a rapidly growing acoustics team based in Hong Kong. The position will be based in our Hong Kong office, although the flexibility to travel abroad is required.
You will be working on interesting and varied building projects in HK and overseas. Working as an integral part of the Acoustics team you will be developing technical design reports, design drawings and specifications. This position also involves providing your expertise to our multi-disciplinary design teams and advising our clients. You will be participating in project design and coordination meetings, site inspections, performance testing and commissioning.
Requirements
The ideal applicant would have the following characteristics:
- minimum 5 years of working experience in Room, Building acoustics as well as Noise and Vibration Control;
- familiar with acoustic software: CATT, Predictor, DIRAC, INSUL, etc.;
- has worked on different kinds of Architectural and Building Acoustics projects from start to finish;
- has good working experience in environmental, room and building acoustics measurements following relevant acoustic standards;
- excellent written and spoken English, as it will be the main working language;
- fluency in Cantonese and Mandarin is a plus;
- is comfortable with dealing with different standards, environmental and acoustic requirements;
- able to be self-sufficient in dealing with various types of clients and managing project timelines and deliverables;
- can work within a multi-disciplinary team
