Dr CW Law

Dr. LAW Chi-wing received his B.Eng. (Mech.) and Ph.D. in The University of Hong Kong. He is a member of Institute of Mechanical Engineer and Chartered Engineer in Mechanical Engineering Discipline, Hong Kong Institute of Qualified Environmental Professionals, and Hong Kong Institute of Acoustics.

Dr. LAW worked in the university, environmental consulting, acoustic contracting firms, and is now working in Environmental Protection Department. He has focused on development of computer noise modeling software, 3D noise mapping, environmental planning, noise control and management, health effect study, construction noise control study and environmental enforcement. He has published over 40 technical articles in international journals and conferences, was the member of international scientific committee and the session chairman in a number of international conferences in connection with acoustics. He serves the Hong Kong Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (HOKLAS) as Technical Expert in acoustics. He had also took part in organizing a number of courses, seminars, symposiums, conferences such as Noise Mapping Symposium and Workshop 2010, Acoustics 2012 Hong Kong, Internoise 2017, and Quiet Construction Symposiums.

Dr. LAW was the Chairman of the Hong Kong Institute of Acoustics from 2018 to 2020.
