Mr Aaron Lui is a Project Officer with the Environmental Protection Department, HK SAR Government. Aaron is a veteran professional acoustician with some 35 years of experience in the environmental noise field, with seasoned experience obtained from his work in consultancy practices, tertiary institutions, industry and Government. His 30-year long career with the Government involved in a wide variety of work including the development of noise legislation, planning, management of abatement programmes and projects, training and enforcement work. He had also written and co-authored a number of papers and articles in international journals and environmental publications. He was a founding Member/Fellow of the HKIOA and had helped in the formation of the Institute from the then Hong Kong Branch of the UK Institute of Acoustics. He had for many years actively participated and helped out in a variety of work in the Institute. He has been holding the post of the Hon. Secretary for the Institute since 2017.
